JEWELLERY FOR BEGINNERS - THURSDAYS

£280.00

10 classes - 6pm to 8pm – Thursday 16th April - 25th June

This is a 10 week Jewellery making course for complete beginners, the first 5 weeks will concentrate on the necessary techniques required to then undertake your own projects. You will learn, saw piercing, filling, drilling, hot and cold connections, texturing, forming and polishing.  Within these weeks you will also be shown a basic introduction to enamelling and, if you like, try a cabochon bezel setting or tube setting.

We will supply saw blades, solder, a copper sheet, enamel, silver bezel wire/sheet and a cabochon stone will be supplied to practice all the above techniques.

By week 4 you should be thinking of your final project, using some of the techniques you have learned. Discuss your ideas with the tutors to plan and order your own materials for your final project.

This course is also suitable for returning students for them to advance their techniques and skills in their jewellery making journey.

Half term - no class.

20th May - 24th May
