12th & 13th October - 10am to 5pm
This two day weekend workshop will explore ways of using bezel settings in a more imaginative way. It will look at other Stonesetting methods to help you choose the best way to make your favourite gems stand out. Experience of a jewellery making is helpful but beginners are also welcome on this course.
You will learn how to cut into the sides of the silver to make a more interesting and original setting. Depending on the stones you are using, you will understand types of settings such as bezel, tabs, gallery, cups, cones and a look at the use of prefabricated mounts.
If you have your own gemstone that you wish to work with then this can be discussed in advance with the tutor.
